<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So, anyone who knows me well enough will know that im a superman nut job. Literally, i named my son after him (Clark, not superman, that would just be silly, also his mother will vehemently deny this but its true).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />I have paintings (thanks to my bro), clothes, toys, whatever etc, but the one thing that every die hard superman fan should have is of course a costume. Now when i say costume, i don't mean a cheap rubies one you can pick up for twenty quid, no no, i mean their own proper superman suit. </span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />I hear you ask "<i>But Steve! where oh where can i get such an awesome thing?" </i>and if you didnt ask, well im going to tell you anyway!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The answer is, make one, duh.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Todays printing technology has given us Dye Sublimation printing. Which literally means you can print a design straight onto a fabric (such as lycra) from a large printer without the need for screen printing. A lot of costume designers that have low budgets are making them this way and yeilding fantastic results! If you don't believe me, take a trip over to The RPF and do a search for Dye Sublimation Costumes and see what you find!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyways, to the design!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The first and foremost thing i wanted to work on was the S shield. </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.fernbyfilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/superman_pic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://www.fernbyfilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/superman_pic.jpg" width="316" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.intuitivewebdesigns.com/comics/graphics/superman/Superman_shield.GIF" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This is the original movie shield that most people are familiar with when they think of superman, its also the one you see on most t-shirts. Although this one is great, its not my favorite.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ftrc.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Supers-From-the-Red-Carpet-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://www.ftrc.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Supers-From-the-Red-Carpet-2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://metropolisplus.com/superman/SupermanReturnsShield1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The second is the shield from the Superman Returns movie which i thoroughly enjoyed (even though most thought it not the greatest) and i did enjoy routh as superman. My biggest gripe with the costume is that the shield was just too small. I don't know why they chose to make it smaller, but i think in the end it took away from the over all look. The shield itself though was a great design, staying true to the original but still having that updated look to it.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/thegeekfiles/henry-cavill-superman-man-of-steel-newsize.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/thegeekfiles/henry-cavill-superman-man-of-steel-newsize.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Last of course is the Man Of Steel movie suit which is slowly growing on me. Although the movie at this point hasn't been released so i will reserve full judgement until ive seen it in action.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">First, i'm not sure about the colours. Just like every superman fanboy out there, i wonder, why so dark? I know todays hero movies are all about gritty atmosphere (which naturally we have christopher nolans fantastic batman trilogy for) and dark stories, but come on! This is superman there messing with!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyway moving on before i go into a rant. The Shield for me is spot on, its perfect size and shape, although i find the S might be too thick in the middle, but thats just being fussy. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Also not sure about the whole textured look, i think printed texture is one thing but i think the screen printed pattern doesn't work with a superman suit. I think it certainly worked in The Amazing Spiderman for the webs/hex patterns but thats a completely different style costume.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So, onto my design!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiAKX4u8Dql6ITmfbZ3GvZoVr8arJKlObn1XC3VS0EOcSGUdz_HUWhx0HxqmDfwXMOb-oXCGg-wdbKTleC66Bk78GhsOYqbSjE4bgyeuZ519_Q5UbyOMh8cHJQ4Wgi3dibYzBdMD3hC5qD/s1600/geekriotcrest.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="201" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiAKX4u8Dql6ITmfbZ3GvZoVr8arJKlObn1XC3VS0EOcSGUdz_HUWhx0HxqmDfwXMOb-oXCGg-wdbKTleC66Bk78GhsOYqbSjE4bgyeuZ519_Q5UbyOMh8cHJQ4Wgi3dibYzBdMD3hC5qD/s320/geekriotcrest.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I combined elements from all three shields to make my own design, the colors from the original, with the roundness of the returns suit and similar design elements of the man of steel suit. Instead of having two yellow sections in the top right i designed one, and then reduced the thickness of the middle of the S. There are a few other tweeks but i don't need to go into their detail.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I spent hours glaring at photoshop working on this bad boy. Heres a breakdown!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSxICCPFfZdtAxku00_iteuNLoyphMsH6a9n7PcZO5-AbbpQ3ti9OSHVoCBK6UlZGhc082jTOT5479iiP8ypm6ZqO5EO8uQJ8g3yfaHHHJjyKISul6etg4P096sVol17piREc2OLsugmLJ/s1600/final.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSxICCPFfZdtAxku00_iteuNLoyphMsH6a9n7PcZO5-AbbpQ3ti9OSHVoCBK6UlZGhc082jTOT5479iiP8ypm6ZqO5EO8uQJ8g3yfaHHHJjyKISul6etg4P096sVol17piREc2OLsugmLJ/s320/final.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> So once i was happy with the shield i moved onto the suit! This is where i had the most difficulty, i had no idea how to make a suit pattern, but thankfully, a gent named TaylorMcManus over at TheRPF (funny how i keep mentioning there? Go there after you read this!) was selling pattern layouts for cheap! So naturally thought this was a good base to start with, it even had a basic muscle pattern (even though i wouldn't need it now) which was handy!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So with my pattern bought i had to decide on what type of supes costume i wanted to make and in the end after an annoyingly long amount of pondering i went with the New 52 look.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/5/58424/1988402-jl_1_oroboros_cps_036.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/5/58424/1988402-jl_1_oroboros_cps_036.jpg" width="203" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I practically had a geekgasm when i saw this for the first time. The suit looks almost like armor but with the tight fit lycra look, perfect for dye sub!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVXStTxd3-OiqpBSlOiHQVxgYCmW402tf9FAuQHFMN1EkA9Oq0D_uDS2SLw3D1_e08_-xO6kZ0dvQPnU63OlQn7NpHk-7tNH65XuPoZ5Sth16U4TFC7HyS_6FLlI8_dA89wHl8vHTl5XdP/s1600/chestsample.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVXStTxd3-OiqpBSlOiHQVxgYCmW402tf9FAuQHFMN1EkA9Oq0D_uDS2SLw3D1_e08_-xO6kZ0dvQPnU63OlQn7NpHk-7tNH65XuPoZ5Sth16U4TFC7HyS_6FLlI8_dA89wHl8vHTl5XdP/s320/chestsample.jpg" width="100" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is my design so far. I wanted it to have that armoured look but still retain my own details. Eventually if i were to make this, i wouldn't include the shield or belt in the print and make them seperately, it just looks cooler that way.</span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This isn't something i made. In fact it was a raw cast from a mold used on Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. I bought it a few years ago and never touched it, mainly because i had originally planned to have it chrome dipped. Turns out whatever resin it was cast in wouldn't have stood up to the process, so i hand painted it instead. </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTtS2Dq3tjmXxBW5gCmG5A8H73HLOvvHuJdoT0nP0c4Ec8oqKX2MOXnplp3enI7bhE-uj11kMHrqPymtf8ZuvQxtfSk82ZTbZuYDDbm9BGepO6ogQ3yPnlzPJkkwqqGfG5sHzmbSpmlG46/s1600/AOTCLS.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTtS2Dq3tjmXxBW5gCmG5A8H73HLOvvHuJdoT0nP0c4Ec8oqKX2MOXnplp3enI7bhE-uj11kMHrqPymtf8ZuvQxtfSk82ZTbZuYDDbm9BGepO6ogQ3yPnlzPJkkwqqGfG5sHzmbSpmlG46/s400/AOTCLS.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I spent a week spot filling it with u-pol polyester paste to get rid of any small holes or imperfections, gave it a wet sand, primed and painted.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The end result wasn't too bad...but i still wish it could have been chromed!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The helmet is about half way to being finished now. Really all i need to do now is refine the edges (alot) the badge needs a bit more width and then the badge made and fitted. I'm also considering adding a bit more height to the raised red edges to make them more defined!</span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Stay tuned!</span><br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqFJDOJvOe53VJAU_8VAjaeNhJPmg1IYfFiPOjqiPn9yqFH1nAkYW99VTNloTq6IGixR1-_G4EGKuJ5I4m5-KCeQFWCYAu3RS8h2T2n_pWcYVspbYi3LDVQYqyAP17Hu_wgdH4MdD73Qku/s1600/logohelmet.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="98" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqFJDOJvOe53VJAU_8VAjaeNhJPmg1IYfFiPOjqiPn9yqFH1nAkYW99VTNloTq6IGixR1-_G4EGKuJ5I4m5-KCeQFWCYAu3RS8h2T2n_pWcYVspbYi3LDVQYqyAP17Hu_wgdH4MdD73Qku/s320/logohelmet.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So ive finally decided to throw up some pictures of my Judge Dredd Helmet!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Originally i had wanted to make a more comic style version (and started a Pepakura version which ill post about another time) but after seeing Dredd3D and loving that helmet, i decided to give it ago.</span><br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">As i had a short deadline i decided i needed a head start. Over on <a href="http://www.therpf.com/" target="_blank">The RPF</a> a member who goes by the name of TheDoctor made himself a comic style judge dredd helmet (<a href="http://www.therpf.com/f9/surprise-project-judge-dredd-helmet-155724/" target="_blank">Link!</a>) using a BMX helmet he bought at tesco's for a tenner!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I knew instantly that this was what i needed, it was the headstart i was looking for. The question was now if i could apply it to a more Dredd3D style helmet.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So i bought the same BMX helmet, took it home, took off the straps and stripped the polystyrene padding so i was left with just a shell. I took careful measurements of what angles i needed the helmet to sit at to make it the right shape and so i could see where to cut for my eye level. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Once i cut the rough shape of the front of the helmet (not including the crosses) i used thick card to shape out the front, sides and back and hardend it with fiberglass. Once cured i slapped on a load of u-pol polyester repair putty. It took two good layers and alot of sanding to get it smooth before i started on the raised edges.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Of course, like a complete knob i didnt take any pictures! I literally only have where i am at now, which is the start of the raised area's of the helmet.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNVb0ITu6AcUeREMYX6B3Cw3eGVfY7gbRpB3vR0iqMZ1EAornnxiQAm_2g4gLohDj45XURcCHyoVVUVmxRrB9BMXrdRYm6bBY1qQg2haCUoxah9LugfbHP8CFnIShZvzD4vx2Yn2mqo3ZM/s1600/1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNVb0ITu6AcUeREMYX6B3Cw3eGVfY7gbRpB3vR0iqMZ1EAornnxiQAm_2g4gLohDj45XURcCHyoVVUVmxRrB9BMXrdRYm6bBY1qQg2haCUoxah9LugfbHP8CFnIShZvzD4vx2Yn2mqo3ZM/s400/1.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I threw on some card crosses for reference but its not looking too bad so far i think.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">A Side view!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiyQ2u6pi_2qpy741-mMhiVXtlZ3Jo23foFGakEUwapAlZgAHAd9W03I-tJiDaj8sBz9Z9tbmvgMIqP_20sDbNVg0w7mVGtLk33fo05LsWL-8UFvQ-mdZjlMb9yuQo4fA3vY8kHuh3vT2o/s1600/2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiyQ2u6pi_2qpy741-mMhiVXtlZ3Jo23foFGakEUwapAlZgAHAd9W03I-tJiDaj8sBz9Z9tbmvgMIqP_20sDbNVg0w7mVGtLk33fo05LsWL-8UFvQ-mdZjlMb9yuQo4fA3vY8kHuh3vT2o/s400/2.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">With a bit more work its going to turn out awesome.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Heres a rough mockup to have a look at. Its literally just some quick editing to get a rough idea!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Hey All!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This was a project i had wanted to try for a little while. Before i get to it theres a bit of back story i need to explain.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Im a massive Judge Dredd fan, have been for many years, read the comics, books and seen the flicks (both of them). I have always wanted a Judge Dredd helmet/costume/lawgiver, so naturally i thought seeing as halloween was round the corner i would get stuck in.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So! First up i decided to work on was the Lawgiver. For those not familiar with what that is, its the pistol used by the street Judges of Megacity One. </span><br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><i>"The Lawgiver is a handgun featuring semi- and fully automatic fire,
manual and automatic focusing and targeting, plus an in-built computer
capable of controlling its operation. It fires a range of speciality
ammunition. An in-line gunsight shows the view directly down the barrel.
A Lawgiver can only be operated by its designated Judge owner, whose
palm print is programmed into the gun's memory" - <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawgiver_%28Judge_Dredd%29" target="_blank">Lawgiver Wiki</a></i></span><br />
<i></i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The gun is capable of firing several types of Ammunition depending on whats needed at the time!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><i>"The gun has a maximum range of up to three miles and has six distinct settings:<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawgiver_%28Judge_Dredd%29#cite_note-SF:UK-0">[1]</a></i></span><br />
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>Standard execution</b> - A standard bullet, with identical effects to normal kinetic energy projectile weapons.</i></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>Heat Seeker</b> or <b>Hot Shot</b> - A standard bullet propelled
by the unstable element, 'Argon 886'. Heatseeker rounds lock onto the
target's heat source, enabling the Judge to target fleeing perps, accurately fire in low-light situations and so forth.</i></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>Ricochet</b> - A metal bullet coated with rubber. Ricochet rounds
can bounce off solid surfaces while retaining enough kinetic energy to
penetrate flesh. This enables the Judge to, for example, kill a perp
that is using a human shield, bouncing their shot off a back wall and
hitting the target from behind.</i></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>Incendiary</b> - Capable of setting its target on fire. Less
widely used due to practicalities of incinerating targets in built-up
city areas, although useful against unconventional adversaries such as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_Death" title="Judge Death">Judge Death</a>.</i></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>Armour Piercing</b> - Armour piercing rounds are extremely dense and contain a more powerful charge for higher muzzle velocity. Useful against <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot" title="Robot">cybernetic criminals</a> and armoured opponents. When used against human targets, it can travel through multiple targets.</i></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;"><i><b>High-Explosive</b> (Hi-Ex) - A round containing an amount of
extremely concentrated high explosive. Judges must employ caution when
using this extremely dangerous round; the blast caused by the exploding
bullets can just as easily harm those firing as well as the target.
Generally used rarely; against crowding attackers or large/dangerous
foes.</i></span></li>
</ul>
<span style="font-size: small;"><i>Some stories by Judge Dredd creator <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wagner" title="John Wagner">John Wagner</a> have added a stun bullet, while stories by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Rennie" title="Gordon Rennie">Gordon Rennie</a> have included a stunner beam (which doesn't always work). An <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_technology_in_Judge_Dredd#Exorcist_bullet" title="List of technology in Judge Dredd">"exorcist" bullet</a> for use against supernatural enemies was developed by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Rennie" title="Gordon Rennie">Gordon Rennie</a>. These and the six modes of fire listed above are <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_%28fiction%29" title="Canon (fiction)">canon</a>. The Judge Dredd audio drama Wanted: Dredd Or Alive
has a Tracer bullet, which allows Judges to electronically track what
they've shot. One story had a judge fire a marker shell, a round which
tags its target with green paint.</i></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><i>Some publications replace the standard bullet with the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grenade" title="Grenade">Grenade</a> setting. In addition, the novelisations of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Bishop" title="David Bishop">David Bishop</a> replaced the Incendiary round with a Gas round, which released a cloud of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_technology_in_Judge_Dredd#Stumm_gas" title="List of technology in Judge Dredd">Stumm gas</a>, the Mega City equivalent of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CS_gas" title="CS gas">CS</a> or <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tear_gas" title="Tear gas">tear gas</a>.
Other issues have shown the new Lawgiver to have a limited number of
close-range electrical stun attacks capable of incapacitating large
numbers of opponents at close range." - <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawgiver_%28Judge_Dredd%29" target="_blank">Lawgiver Wiki</a></i></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-size: small;">This is why the lawgiver has two clips. A normal clip is inserted into the handle of the pistol (which in th<span style="font-size: small;">is case is a standard Airsoft Glock) which contains the Standard Bullets<span style="font-size: small;"> and a larger clip inserts into the underside of the <span style="font-size: small;">barrel<span style="font-size: small;"> containing the various other ammunitions</span></span></span></span></span></span></span><br />
<br />
<hr />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: small;">
<span style="font-size: small;"></span></span></span></span></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><u><b><span style="font-size: small;">The Build!</span></b></u></span></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: small;">A<span style="font-size: small;">nother bit of back story<span style="font-size: small;">; i work for<span style="font-size: small;"> <span style="font-size: small;">Toys R Us<span style="font-size: small;">. Its a relatively cool job for a geek<span style="font-size: small;"> like me. I get paid to sell<span style="font-size: small;">/<span style="font-size: small;">dem<span style="font-size: small;">onstrate toys and electronics. </span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Naturally i got intrigued and wondered if i could pull something together.So i bought a set and took one apart and removed the innards.</span> </div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2CG-bZAdj9dEaTAN5X33oHTCku-yLK3I0_KhNdWbCHQ6-vIQJFCmGUlDwlUNA_pI1qPO1u5Td5lsfsNRnaitbOBv8WUIP7UKY3Nr8n_LRdPT-AVSolGKpKJpVQwQ9OFTQt-KZowvHhGh-/s1600/2.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2CG-bZAdj9dEaTAN5X33oHTCku-yLK3I0_KhNdWbCHQ6-vIQJFCmGUlDwlUNA_pI1qPO1u5Td5lsfsNRnaitbOBv8WUIP7UKY3Nr8n_LRdPT-AVSolGKpKJpVQwQ9OFTQt-KZowvHhGh-/s200/2.png" width="200" /></a><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Next i wanted to make sure the glock was going to fit inside without much issue. Turns out you pretty much have to sand the entire things down with a dremel before the glock sits comfortably without, it took me about an hour to do both sides.Then i cut the original handle/trigger area off so i could use the glock's.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> It was a seriously tight fit and i was starting to have serious doubts about if it was going to work. When i finally got both parts together there was a large gap in the top but i had already decided i was going to cut off the tactical rails on the top. It also meant that i could just fill in the gaps with rondo and sand them smooth. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The handle/trigger area was a bit of a challenge to fill with rondo because the gaps were so large, so it turned out a bit messy underneath, but as my hand will be there im not too worried. I'll most certainly go back and finish it up at a later date.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After that i stuck on a bit of primer to have an idea of what it will look like uniform colour.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo7Vk8N7dcwWtd-L-do2Ge7WzQVycvJa0coxX1K0KrWXVWtvGhAJ-OrjK1rfxNukyf0XJgKfp4I-mhcAZHmdXP9DG6mPaGoGpGaR_m65-RQ-LTQnfAoIJrahcuX3ThzhuW6S44lNuyYEhZ/s1600/3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo7Vk8N7dcwWtd-L-do2Ge7WzQVycvJa0coxX1K0KrWXVWtvGhAJ-OrjK1rfxNukyf0XJgKfp4I-mhcAZHmdXP9DG6mPaGoGpGaR_m65-RQ-LTQnfAoIJrahcuX3ThzhuW6S44lNuyYEhZ/s320/3.png" width="320" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I used more rondo to fill in some of the excess details on the front clip housing. Then i dremelled in the tripple light detail.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Between that and painting it was just a load of filling and sanding on the tops and bottoms. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Then i had a bit of a disaster. I accidently sanded through the rondo too far in the bottom and took a large chunk out of the side above the handle, mainly in the rounded detail at the back. So i filled it out and put on a fake clip release with a bit of foamex. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Then i slapped on a load of black primer and once i was happy with that i added the silver details and weathering. It was a bit of a rush job so there are a few messy patches but i intend to repaint it at some point anyway.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So heres a final shot!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjT1yEixC6poPHh8zQsbFMKyCNMq4CrOpgBBtV-0pi_jgG62PgVUx7Jk_ZUpE3JxnVBgX2eIGAl9hdECwkl2XRJ-6gN4zdDi-6i_44WoSIsGOqEfkp-GvTkNZWuYgfOBWEkXtD0y1tWn3Xn/s1600/Final.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjT1yEixC6poPHh8zQsbFMKyCNMq4CrOpgBBtV-0pi_jgG62PgVUx7Jk_ZUpE3JxnVBgX2eIGAl9hdECwkl2XRJ-6gN4zdDi-6i_44WoSIsGOqEfkp-GvTkNZWuYgfOBWEkXtD0y1tWn3Xn/s400/Final.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Not too shabby! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Theres a lot ill change in future, especially the back area which ill probably rebuild completely using foamex or styrene. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Im happy with it for now so ill move onto the helmet or shoulders next and probably come back to it and add/change parts when i have more time!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Later!</span><br />
